The bottom part of this piece is the most definitely the strongest part of this piece. Following up the beam causing the calamity. There is a lot going on in this piece so it gives you enough to look at but doesn't overwhelm you which is a really hard thing to mediate. I know I have problems with it. I'm either underwhelming or overwhelming with some of my things. So it's nice to see balances in art Great job.
Thanks. I'm actually working with a team on this one, so I had to leave room for the colorist to do a few effects. The lines for the beam are guidelines, and the myriad of explosions will make much more sense once the shockwave ripples are added. I'm curious about weighing my lines on this one, did I weight things properly or were they too similar?
I think the lines are done really well. The fact that the bottom half feels heavy, since it is rock/a heavier structure being destroyed, gives it that weight. Whereas the sky has much lighter lines. It's a good balance. You did a really good job on this.
Wow there is a lot going on in this. I'm not sure what's up and what's down, but it's still so interesting to look at. I like this as a black and white by itself ad how there is so much to look at. Is it overwhelming? Yes, but in a good way. It leaves a lot to interpret and I like that in a piece of art.
not much interpretive art here i think? its just a Michael Bay level explosion fest. that's all i was going for, i think the colorist will make this look super awesome...
Well, my first guess was going to be Android Cell exploded and left all his spots/markings all over the place lol But I haven't seen any DBZ fanwork from you so I kept that one to myself at first.
